Psychiatric registered nurse
LSCHC has a full time opening for a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at our Superior location. The RN works within the clinical care team to assure quality patient care and to support the goals of LSCHC.
Primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Provides direct patient care
  • Completes nursing assessments
  • Administers medications and treatments
  • Assists in formulating treatment programs and documents accordingly
  • Participates in team meetings; assess patients’ behavior and treatment progress
  • Develops, implements and revises Nursing Care Plans
  • Provide leadership and positive role modeling for staff
Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing
  •  Registered nurse with a current license in Minnesota and Wisconsin
  • One to three years experience in ambulatory care
  •  Current CPR certification
  • The ability to provide health care in a sensitive, nonjudgmental manner to persons of all economic levels and cultural backgrounds.

medical receptionist - part time
This position is available at our Superior/Duluth locations (schedule will rotate locations). 20 hours per work primarily morning hours. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, serving as a positive, enthusiastic, professional, and proactive member of the Health Care Home team, assisting callers by taking messages and routing calls, scheduling and updating patient appointments, registering patients, figuring out patient household income for sliding fee eligibility, and entering and verifying patient insurance information. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of one year experience with patient scheduling, computer experience, familiarity with general office equipment, and the ability to provide health care in a sensitive, non-judgmental manner to persons of all economic levels and cultural backgrounds, amongst other qualifications and skills. Dental Receptionist - full time
This position is available at our Duluth site. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, greeting clients of all ages and/or their representatives and obtaining all pertinent information needed to complete the intake record. Reviewing and verifying all third party payer information by making contact with payers or verifying information and depositing dental charges and payments. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of one year experience with patient scheduling, computer experience, familiarity with general office equipment, and the ability to provide dental care in a sensitive, non-judgmental manner to persons of all economic levels and cultural backgrounds, amongst other qualifications and skills. Licensed dental assistant
Lake Superior Community Health Center (LSCHC), dedicated to serving the health needs of low income and underserved communities, has an opening for a full time Licensed Dental Assistant.

This position will alternate between both our Duluth and Superior
locations. The ideal candidate will perform clinical and clerical duties within
the dental clinic under the supervision of the Dental Clinic Manager. Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following: dental office experience and a dental assistant license.

MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST - FULL TIME 
Lake Superior Community Health Center (LSCHC), dedicated to serving the health needs of low income and underserved communities, has openings for full-time Mental Health Therapists at our Superior site.
 
Duties:  
  • Provide thorough assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy (individual and family) and crisis services to clients.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, work with agencies within the county and attend training as requested.
  • Work with ages 11 and older and do some school-based work in the community of Douglas County
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completed Master's Degree and in possession of initial graduate licensure (LAMFT, LGSW, APSW, LPC, LPC-IT, MFT-IT).
  • Therapy Experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Two years as experienced licensed clinician.
  • Experience and training working with trauma therapy utilizing different approaches such as TF-CBT, EMDR and Play Therapy
  • Familiarity working within a multi-disciplinary team setting
  • Knowledge of resources in the Greater Duluth-Superior area and experience with information and referral processes.
